The Liturgical Conference
advocates for the renewal of liturgy,
supports the formation of liturgical people, and seeks the unity of the Body of Christ, for the life of the world.
As an ongoing movement with the ecumenical church, founded in 1940, we seek to provide an ecumenical forum for articulating standards of liturgical excellence and for supporting persons who have a common interest and concern for the liturgical life and the liturgical arts of the church.
Our commitment to the ecumenical and pastoral character of liturgical renewal and reform continues through the work of our journal Liturgy. Recent issues of Liturgy include an issue focused on the "music wars" (volume 24.3), ritual space (25.1), and liturgical language (volume 25.2). Themes in upcoming issues for include Christian Initiation, liturgical preaching, and the emerging church.
After 43 years of continuous print publication, back issues of Homily Service will become available for download on this site in the coming months.
